From the twisted and demented mind of Dave
Cooper. Cooper is considered one of the most off beat cartoonists in the industry today as
evidenced by his series of Chronic Idiocy and Pied Piper of Hamelin.
In this series, Cooper will brings short stories,
autobiographical tales, insights, and a sexy pin-up girlie every issue. All this will be
joined by the ongoing lead feature that deals with Thelma Sturgeon, a girl of little
direction who has trouble paying her rent, meeting worthwhile guys, and is totally unaware
of the diabolical plans going on below her apartment. How did her room-mate just suddenly
vanish? Does the guy in the hallway who is totally infatuated with her ever go away? The
saga of Thelma spins off in an unusual direction. This issue also introduces The Ugly
Fellow and Good Deed Steed whos dedicated to meddling in other peoples
affairs. This series helped to establish Cooper at the forefront of alternative comics.
