DICKS

With Dicks, Ennis and McCrea return to their roots of such classics as Troubled Souls and For A Few Troubles More with this sequel of sorts featuring their popular, less-than-perfect Belfast rogues, Dougie Patterson and Ivor Thompson, who decide to become private detectives leading to all kinds of accidents, misfortunes and encounters with some of the most memorable supporting cast characters you'll find in any comic today.

According to McCrea it involves "swearing, drinking, violence, sex, zombies, inbreeding and other politically correct subjects, all handled with the sensitivity you've come to expect from your favorite creative team." Editor Joe Pruett states that "Dicks is just plain silly and a whole lot of fun. Garth and John aren't taking themselves or their characters very seriously and the outcome is truly hilarious! This series isn't for the faint of heart, so if you're easily offended then maybe you should pass on it, but for those of you who just want to laugh out loud or cringe as something hits a little close to home then by all means this title is for you. Four issues were released and then a graphic novel compilation.

The Creators
Garth Ennis
One of the most popular and prolific writers in the comics industry today, Garth has written everything from Hellblazer and Preacher at Vertigo, Hitman at DC and Darkness at Image. With Hitman cohort John McCrea, Garth has brought his unusual, in-your-face style of story-telling to Caliber with the four issue miniseries Dicks.

John McCrea
Along with writing partner, Garth Ennis, John is the other half of the creative team for DC's popular Hitman series, as well as the mega-hot Dicks miniseries from Caliber Comics. Other titles that have featured John's amazing artwork include: Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, The Demon, For a Few Troubles More, Troubled Souls and Negative Burn.
