The original series in Europe featured Django as a solo adventurer and Angel had his own series proposed but by the time the second issue of Django came out, the two were combined into one series.

Django Hart was a former FBI agent who decided the restrictions of the agency were a deterrent to doing the job he felt needed to be done. He decided to join the international police agency of Interpol. Angel, is an English private detective who often teams up with Django. Another character, Monique, an exotic dancer is also a major character in the series.
