Gutter Rat is the title character of this series which has the title of Denominations for the first issue. He is the Lord’s angel of vengeance but doesn’t realize it. He leads an army of the homeless in an effort to save the innocent from evil. From the creators of Shar-Pei, Tom Sneigoski and Mark Masztal, the red plates will be intrically laid in to make the red artwork an integral component of the storyline. This series deals with religious overtones in a violent manner and therefore is suggested for mature readers.

He is man with a mission. His goal is to protect the Church but to do so, he must step outside of the rules that the Church demands of others. He knows of the secret world within the Church and uses that information for his own ends while also ensuring that the papacy maintains its power base. When an impersonator takes over the role of the Pope, the Gutter Rat is called in to restore the proper authority but he had no idea of who he can count on as a power struggle breaks out and it will take a mission to the catacombs deep beneath the Vatican to find the truth.
