Announced as a series, this only had a single issue released as the creator, Jim Calafiore, departed to work for many titles at Valiant before moving onto Aquaman for DC.
It starts with the appearance of a speaking, inverted pyramid who spouts claims of divinity and who forms a church amidst the displaced and cast off of a deep, deep, inner city.
The story is also about other things. The story is a life, it is the trinity. Its hope and disappointment, its bitter humor. Its a dead dog and an undead woman. Its voyeurism, sarcasm, commercialism, and baptism. Its blood. Its hate. Its a divine intrusion. Its bigotry and loneliness. Its money. Its crucifixion. Its empty hands and searching eyes. Its rejection. Its salvation.
And above all, its death.Wow, thats a lot for a 32 page comic, isnt it?
