SAVAGE HENRY
by Matt Howarth

Savage Henry was the long running series from Matt Howarth. When he brought it to Caliber, Savage Henry came out as two mini-series, each running three issues. The first was Savage Henry (we thought it was pretty original) and the second mini-series was Savage Henry: HeadStrong.

Savage Henry

Savage Henry from CaliberIn this all new premiere issue, all is going well as the Bulldaggers prepare to play a concert in San Francisco...until Savage Henry gets drunk, wanders off and ends up skiing down a mountain on his guitar. As his fellow band mates search for him, Henry is rescued by an amorous fan who has plans of her own for the Bulldaggers’ star guitarist. Will his band find him in time for the concert or is Henry doomed to perform for an audience of one.

The second issue features a guest star appearance by Techno Rave Musician Moby. Henry meets Moby as they share a dream of highly amusing proportions in "going Interactive". They go fishing, ride dinosaurs, sit on the beach as melting ice cream cones, talks with penguins and generally have a riotous fun time...until they become aware that they are prisoners of their own shared dream.

The third issue guest stars, guitar legend Richard Pinhas. The two journey on a mission into weird alien worlds where they must make the hazardous climb to negotiate with Astronaut Andy. A wonderful mixture of madcap silliness and outrageous science fiction with a French twist.

Savage Henry: Headstrong

Savage Henry: HeadstrongMatt Howarth’s cult hit is back in a new mini-series! When a sudden moonquake interrupts Henry’s lunar sonic experiments, a trail of wierdness leads him to East Sussex in England…to discover the strange mutation that has overtaken the quiet contryside home of musician Ron Geesin. It seems that Geesin"s creativity has taken a life of its own and it’s warping reality into whimsical playful scenarios like an armada of floating slabs of butter. The only question now is--- who will reach Geesin first--- Henry? Or the assassins of WHACO (We Hate All Creative Organisms)? Art and story by Matt Howarth.
