Thumbscrew- a horror anthologyA  horror anthology featuring both new and established talents. In the first issue are: Kelly Evareart’s "Hour of the Scarecrow", a struggle between a farmer and a scarecrow amid the fierce rush of hairy crows. Noted painter and illustrated Lurene Haines provides the artwork for the first segment of horror writer John Coy Jr.’s "I’ll Wait for You". Ashley Holt, creator of the brilliant "Oblivion City" gives us the short story "Shark" and Arthur Smid offers up a story of a fanatic of cleanliness trying to please his mom in ":Motherly Love". Galen Showman brings us "Offering", a tale of racial injustice rectifies and Mark Ricketts also contributes a story. Kyle Garrett has another installment of "Sinergy", the serial running through out many of the Caliber titles that is a modern day Dante’s Inferno, as well as another story. A couple of short pieces will also be added, including a true life account and illustration from a Holocaust survivor to bring this book up to 64 pages. The second issue of this hard edged horror anthology brings the second chapter of John Coy Jr.’s and noted painter Lurene Haine’s "I’ll Wait for You". Andy Garcia tells the story of "Bathsheba", the senior citizen serial killer; Cory Himan contributes the finely rendered tale of "Charon", the boatman of Hell, in addition to a tale of a young girl’s singing voice which not only enchants the villagers but the shadows of despair as well. Other contributors include Mark Ricketts, Charles Yates, Nate Pride, Galen Showman, plus more in this full 64 page issue. Also in this issue is another chapter in the Sinergy saga, the modern day Dante’s Inferno story of one’s man journey through Hell to see the eternal torment of the sinners of Earth. Painted cover.

Another 64 page horror extravaganza! Leading off is the cover by noted painter Lurene Haines who also provided the illustrations for the third and final chapter of "I’ll Wait for You" written by Del Stone Jr. Of American Splendor fame, Joe Zabel tams up with Gary Dumm to bring the story "Warm Body", another "Sinergy" installment is included and continues the modern day Dante’s Inferno saga, and more contributions from Kyle Garrett, Mark Ricketts, Galen Showman and others.
