The Creative Team
MATTHEW SCOTT DUPLISEA is a self-taught writer, illustrator, and musician based in Portland, Maine. His only drawing teachers were his monthly comic purchases of “Spawn” and “Sonic The Hedgehog”, and his writing instructor was anything he could find by Brian Michael Bendis. After singing and playing guitar in a garage-rock band for years, he released his first solo music album, “Matthew Scott – Vertigo Radio”, in 2016. With that goal completed, he shifted focus to his first love: writing and drawing comics. His series “Infinite”, through Caliber Comics, is his first professionally published work. When he’s not in a creative meltdown, he’s arguing top 10 lists of songs, video games, movies and superheroes, and blurting out how much a random movie made at the box office in 1967. No matter what time it is or where you are, if you listen really hard, you can hear him trying to convince someone that Jack White is a better guitarist than Jimi Hendrix.

Born with biological immortality, Infinites are on the brink of war with humanity. Using fear to mask their envy, the U.S. government has outlawed Infinites as they try and replicate their gifts… with them as the test subjects and not in the most humane way. Caught in the middle is Dante, a human and former detective struggling to figure out his place in an increasingly divided and vicious world — and Sarena, an Infinite soldier from a hidden village that’s a refuge for her race. Fate has thrown them together on a journey through the war, and two people who couldn’t be more different find that their pasts are on a collision course with one another.
